About Us
Earthling Kids LLC is an environmental education company dedicated to providing online learning resources about conservation and environmental science. Our team has a passion for teaching and caring for our planet. Our users have access to a variety of online resources in different formats including videos, webpages and print materials.
Our mission is to provide young Earthlings with knowledge and empower them to change the world through conservation and exploration. And we can't do it alone! We will provide the tools, but the Earthling Kids will need guidance from their friends and family. Will you accept our challenge and help us empower young Earthlings and teach them to care for our planet ?
Our Approach
We pride ourselves in our lesson based approach. Each week we provide a new lesson and the activities that go with it. This helps the parents of young Earthlings, and other family members or friends, empower them and teach them something new. Our lessons are designed to help both the young and those guiding them to learn new ways to care for our planet in a fun way.
Each weekly lesson is paired with a different non-profit whose mission aligns with ours. By donating 80% of our activity book profits to a different non-profit each week, we assure our users that we are as committed to having an impact as they are to learning about having an impact.
Our Founder
Earthling Kids LLC was founded by Parker E. Griffin. She serves as the company's Chief Executive Officer. Parker has a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Policy. She has always had a passion for the environment and teaching children about conservation.
Parker volunteered in the education department at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens for over a year. During that time she worked with homeschool children both teaching and caring for the animals. She has also worked in retail at two other AZA accredited establishments: Busch Gardens Tampa and the Columbus Zoo.
Parker had planned to work this summer at the Summer Camp for the Columbus Zoo. Due to the impact of the pandemic, her position was canceled and the camp is being held digitally this year. As a result, she decided to start this company and pursue her passion of teaching environmental education now rather than waiting for the Zoo to resume operations.
