Bee Pet Rock

Here at Earthling Kids, we love bees. We know that they can bee scary. This pet rock will help us see that bees are not as scary as we make them out to be, and see how important bees are to the environment.

Bees are amazing and not as scary as I thought. They are important to the environment.

Supply List:

  • Rock

  • Yellow Paint

  • Black Paint

  • Pipe Cleaners

  • Paint Palette

  • Water cup

  • Googly Eyes

  • Glue

Instructions:

Set-up:

during all our crafts. This will protect your workspace. You can get this type of table cover in the party section of most department stores for a couple dollars.

Painting your bee:

  1. Place the rock in front of you

  2. Paint the rock yellow

  3. Let it dry

  4. Paint black strips

Making antenna and wings:

  1. Take a pipe cleaner and twist it around your rock and shape them into antennae

  2. Take another pipe cleaner and twist it around your rock and shape them into wings

Personalizing your bee:

  1. Glue googly eyes and draw on a mouth to give your bee a face

Clean up:

  1. Clean up any mess from making your pet bee.

  2. Wipe down and remove the table cover.
