This is a safe way to see what a volcano looks like while it is erupting.
Instructions:
Set-up:
We recommend using a table cover such as the one in our video during all our crafts. This will protect your workspace. You can get this type of table cover in the party section of most department stores for a couple dollars.
Making the volcano:
Take the brown construction paper and place it in front of you
Roll the paper into a cone with enough room on the top so you can put tissue paper inside
Glue to outside edge of the rolled construction paper
Cut off any paper that is over, so the bottom is flat
Making the volcano erupt:
Take your completed volcano and glue it on the plate
Let it dry
Cut up the three colors of tissue paper
Glue the tissue paper in any place you want to make it look like the volcano is erupting
Personalizing your volcano:
Place stickers or draw on the volcano to make it have plants or animals who are going away from the volcano
Or place more tissue paper on the edge of the plate so the lava is on the ground.
Clean up:
Clean up any mess from making your volcano.
Wipe down and remove the table cover.
