Four Seasons Paintings

Here at Earthling Kids, we love to learn about the seasons. We know that there a four seasons and that they a different from each other. Our mascot Avani the alien wants to learn those differences. This week, we are going to help you see the differences between each season by the color of leaves we paint on each tree.

Seasons are everchanging. these are goo to have all year long to see what season you are in.

Supply List:

  • Paper

  • Construction Paper

  • Blue paint

  • Pink paint

  • Green Paint

  • White paint

  • Red paint

  • Orange paint

  • Glue

  • Scissors

  • Marker

  • 6 Q-tips

  • Paint palette

Instructions:

Set-up:

We recommend using a table cover such as the one in our video during all our crafts. This will protect your workspace. You can get this type of table cover in the party section of most department stores for a couple dollars. Put paint in the paint palette.

Making the trunks:

  1. Take brown construction paper and place your hand down with your fingers spread

  2. Trace your hand with the marker and cut out the trace

  3. Trace and cut out three more handprints

  4. Glue the hands in four different pieces of paper (these are your branches)

  5. Use the scraps of paper to create the trunk of the tree

Painting the leaves:

  1. Take one of the trees you made and grab a Q-tip

  2. To paint the spring tree, alternate between the pink and red paints

  3. To paint the summer tree, use green to paint the leaves

  4. To paint autumn tree, alternate between red, green, and orange paint

  5. To paint the winter tree, alternate between the white and blue paint

Personalizing your trees:

  1. Use stickers or draw animals on or around your trees

Clean up:

  1. Clean up any mess from making your trees.

  2. Wipe down and remove the table cover.
