Pet-Friendly Confetti Popper

Here at Earthling Kids, we love all animals on our planet. We know that on the 4th of July there are a lot of fireworks. These fireworks can scare off pet friends. This confetti popper is a fun alternative that even pets will love.

Set-up:

We recommend using a table cover such as the one in our video during all our crafts. This will protect your workspace. You can get this type of table cover in the party section of most department stores for a couple dollars.

Making your confetti popper:

  1. Cut the bottom circle out of one of your two dixie cups leaving a little bit of the edge.

  2. For the second dixie cup, fold it down and cut the bottom part of the cup completely off.

  3. Take your balloon and tie a knot in the open end just like you would if it were inflated.

  4. Cut off the tip of the balloon.

  5. Stretch the open end of the balloon over the bottom of the dixie cup that you cut the whole bottom off.

  6. Once the balloon is secure, insert the other dixie cup in the center to provide more stability.

  7. You should now be able to test the popping motion.

  8. Add your confetti and you are all set for the big party!

Personalize you confetti popper:

  1. For more fun, you can paint your cups! Or add stickers!

Clean up:

  1. Clean up any mess from making your confetti popper.

  2. Wipe down and remove the table cover.
